A Private Garden, a Famous Plant Breeder & a BIG Sneak Peek!
Wayne is back with more incredible stops from the Perennial Plant Association Tour Day!
First, we’re getting a rare look inside the private home garden of Chris Hansen of Garden Solutions. Wayne chats with three members of Chris’s enthusiastic team and explores a truly unique front yard featuring both a rock garden and crevice garden.
Then it’s off to Walters Gardens, where Wayne catches up with renowned plant breeder Hans Hansen to talk perennial hibiscus. Hans shares just how much time and work goes into developing a new variety, what he’s looking for when breeding hibiscus, and what the future holds for this garden favorite.
You’ll also get a sneak peek at the brand-new ‘Glitter Bomb’ perennial Hibiscus! This variety isn’t scheduled for release until 2027, but we’re excited to announce that Niemeyer’s was able to get a limited number early and we have them in stock now!
And before the tour ends, Wayne heads into the Walters Gardens display gardens to share a perennial combination that caught his eye and might inspire your own landscape.
